Historical Context

During the mythical Age of Arcanum, mortal arrogance and escalating conflicts culminated in the Calamity. This global war saw the gods divide into two factions. Zehir and the other Betrayer Gods, desiring to conquer, destroy, or subjugate humanity and other mortal creations, waged a devastating war against the Prime Deities. The war ended with the establishment of the Divine Gate, a cosmic barrier designed to seal Zehir and the other Betrayer Gods away from the Material Plane, ensuring they could only influence the mortal world through their most devoted mortal followers.
