The Pearl of Power is a potent magical artifact of the Sword Coast, recovered from the remote peaks of the Sword Mountains.

Origin and Acquisition

The Pearl of Power was originally kept within the sacred trove of the Snowmont Monastery, an isolated sanctuary nestled high in the mountain passes. The monastery met a tragic end when it was besieged by a relentless onslaught of Ice Trolls and Ice Mephits. Although adventurers climbed the treacherous mountain pass to intervene and ultimately defeated the trolls, the battle took a devastating toll, leaving the monastery mostly in ruins.

Only two monks, a halfling named Jaque and a human named Zoe, survived the cataclysm. In gratitude for the party’s assistance and to safeguard their remaining treasures from further threats, the surviving monks gifted the adventurers the remnants of the Snowmont trove. Among these relics was the Pearl of Power, passed on alongside a Staff of Frost and a Wind Fan.
