Gloria

Gloria was the beloved late wife of the adventurer Farwald.

Biography

By the time of the heroes’ return to Phandalin after defeating the Guardian of the Forge, Gloria had been deceased for at least twenty winters. Her memory remains a comforting anchor for Farwald, who often feels the crushing weight of his advanced years and the gaps in his memory.

Legacy and Memory

Farwald remembers Gloria fondly, recalling her “laugh lined smile and suntanned face.” During the Highharvesttide celebrations in Phandalin, while reflecting on his unlikely path as an adventurer, Farwald found deep solace in her memory. He imagined that if she could see him now, she would laugh at the sight of him being a “foolish adventurer, going off on a dare.”
