Leilon

Leilon is an ancient, ruined settlement nestled between the rugged Sword Mountains and the sea along the Sword Coast. Once a place of elven craftsmanship and part of the historic landscape surrounding the Pact of Phandelver, it has long since fallen into decay, leaving behind only quiet traces of its former life.

Geography and Features

The remnants of Leilon are modest, with its history written in the stone foundations left behind:

History

During the golden era of the Pact of Phandelver roughly 1,000 years ago, Leilon was situated near the magnificent seat of Archmage Larellion. Following the collapse of the Pact, the tragic betrayal of Vyldara, and the subsequent divine curse of Sehanine Moonbow, the nearby fortress was cast into the Ethereal Plane, and the village of Leilon eventually fell into ruin.

In recent times, the adventuring party known as the Magnificent Five traveled through the ruins of Leilon on their quest to lay the spirits of Larellion’s family to rest. Guided by the goddess Selûne and carrying Vyldara’s Heartstone, the party waited until nightfall at the rocky mound on the outskirts of the village, parting the clouds to let the full moon’s light phase the Hand of Sehanine back into reality and ultimately break the millennium-old curse.
