Myrna Tristan

Myrna Tristan is one of the three surviving members of the noble Tristan family of Phandalin. Her family has a long and storied history in the region, including an ancestral connection to the Gilmore’s Stork family.

The Redbrand Occupation and Rescue

During the reign of terror imposed by the Redbrand gang, Tristan Manor was seized and repurposed as the gang’s headquarters. While zombies roamed the manor’s dining room, the wizard leader Glasstaff established an alchemical laboratory in the cellars. Myrna and two other surviving members of her family were taken hostage and secured within the depths of the cellar under heavy guard by bandits and a half-ogre named Ogrillon.

An adventuring party—later known as The Magnificent Five—infiltrated the manor, successfully locking down Glasstaff’s laboratory and defeating his forces. During the confrontation, the party managed to locate, secure, and rescue Myrna and her family from their confinement, keeping them safe while they cleared the rest of the cellars.

Legacy and Bequest

Following the defeat of the Redbrands and the liberation of her ancestral home, Myrna showed her immense gratitude by bequeathing Tristan Manor to her rescuers. Alongside the blind cleric Deacon, she informed Townmaster Harbin Wester that the manor was being left to the town to be used as it saw fit, with the specific intent that the adventuring party should have it. This bequest established the estate as a home and shelter for the group, designated as the official protectors of Phandalin, and was finalized under a magical deed of ownership.

Her family’s legacy is also deeply tied to the ancient crypts beneath the manor, which house the legendary Blade of Tristan—a relic that ultimately chose Gilmore as its wielder during the cellar’s clearing.
