Sheila
Sheila is a mysterious individual who first encountered the party at the southern gate of Neverwinter, posing as a member of the city’s guard. Tall, handsome, and remarkably well-dressed for a standard watchman, she immediately intercepted the arriving adventurers and insisted on personally chaperoning them through the lock-downed streets of the city.
The “Town Guard” Pretense
While her cover was incredibly solid—solid enough that the legitimate city guards deferred to her authority without question—her true nature was quickly suspected. An investigation of her demeanor by Gilmore revealed that she was lying convincingly about her identity and purpose. Nevertheless, she trailed Gilmore and Farwald as they made their way toward Castle Never, and she later joined the entire party at the Moonstone Mask for lunch.
Journey to the Cha-Ching
Growing increasingly impatient with the bureaucratic delays and city blocks, Sheila eventually dropped all pretense of being a simple law enforcer. She skillfully steered the adventurers past blocked main roads and led them directly into the squalor of Beggar’s Nest, a dense slum of shacks and narrow alleys south of the river.
Her destination was the Cha-Ching, a local casino fronted by a colorful mural of a woman catching falling coins. Here, Sheila brought the party into the presence of Anthony “the Gentleman,” a powerful half-orc underworld figure, revealing her deep-seated connections to the city’s criminal underbelly.
