Barthen

Barthen is an individual residing in the frontier settlement of Phandalin.

The Delivery Job

Barthen is the designated recipient of a supply cart sent from the city of Neverwinter. This delivery was commissioned by the dwarf explorer Gundren Rockseeker and his companion Sildar Hallwinter, who hired a band of adventurers to escort the goods safely south along the High Road. The adventurers were promised a payment of gold upon delivering the cart to Barthen.

However, the delivery was complicated when Gundren and Sildar, riding ahead of the escort on horses, were ambushed and captured by goblins associated with the “Cragmaw Hideout,” leaving the adventurers to secure the path to Phandalin and complete the delivery to Barthen.
