Nika

Nika is the first mate of The Providence Queen, a seafaring vessel commanded by Captain Eriac that normally travels to Keoland.

The Voyage to the Throat of the World

Seeking passage to the far north, Gilmore and Erevyn traveled to the docks of Neverwinter to secure transport. They negotiated with Nika and Captain Eriac, hiring The Providence Queen for 500 gold pieces to take them to the northern shores as close as possible to the Throat of the World Mountains, located west of Luskan.

On the fourth morning of their journey, a dense, unnatural fog enveloped the ship, neutralizing all magical and mundane navigation attempts. The vessel scraped against jagged rocks and became moored on the coast of a strange, uncharted island littered with bizarre sculptures and artifacts from different eras. While Nika and the crew managed the repairs, the adventuring party investigated a central cave, where they defeated a telepathic Morkoth that had stolen some of their possessions. Following the creature’s defeat, the adventurers assisted Nika and the crew with finishing the repairs. The unnatural fog subsequently lifted, and the ship safely resumed its voyage north.
